Run Studio ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services at run.introversion.ai.
By using Run Studio, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Local Storage Data
We store your calculator inputs and preferences locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers, unless you choose to use the AI Assistant feature (see below). You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Training Plan Data
When you create a training plan, your plan data (workouts, progress, and settings) is stored locally in your browser. If you choose to sync your plan across devices, this data may be stored on our servers in encrypted form.
Activity Data from Connected Services
If you connect Run Studio to third-party services such as Garmin Connect, we only access the data you explicitly authorize. You can revoke this access at any time. With your permission, we may access the following activity data:
- Workout activities (runs, walks, etc.)
- Activity metrics (distance, duration, pace, heart rate)
- Activity timestamps and location data (if available)
- Training calendar data
When you authorize Garmin Connect, we may also send structured workouts and training sessions you generate in Run Studio to your Garmin account.
This data is used solely to provide training plan features, such as:
- Syncing workouts to your device's training calendar
- Analyzing completed activities to track progress
- Adjusting training recommendations based on your performance
- Providing adaptive pacing based on recent activities
We do not store full activity history unless necessary for your training features. Most sync operations are processed temporarily and discarded after generating insights.
Analytics Data
We use privacy-focused, cookie-free analytics to understand how our tools are used. This includes aggregated, anonymous data such as page views and general usage patterns. We do not track individual users or collect personal identifiers through analytics.
AI Assistant Data
When you use the AI Assistant feature, the following data is sent to our servers:
- Your questions and conversation history
- Running context from your calculator inputs (VDOT, paces, race predictions, etc.)
- Your user ID (if signed in) for rate limiting
- A device fingerprint (for anonymous users) to enforce usage limits
Device Fingerprinting: For users who are not signed in, we generate a browser-based device fingerprint to enforce fair usage limits on the AI Assistant. This fingerprint is derived from browser characteristics (such as screen size, timezone, and installed fonts) and does not contain personally identifiable information. It is used solely for rate limiting and is not shared with third parties or used for tracking across other websites.
This data is processed by Anthropic (Claude AI) to generate responses. Questions and responses are stored for 90 days for quality improvement, then automatically deleted. We do not use AI conversation data for advertising or sell it to third parties.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain our running calculation tools
- Generate and manage personalized training plans
- Sync workouts to your connected devices and services
- Analyze your completed activities to provide training insights
- Improve and optimize our services based on usage patterns
- Respond to your inquiries and provide support
We use connected device data only to provide training-related features and never for unrelated purposes. We do not use your activity data for advertising purposes or sell your data to third parties.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:
- With your consent: When you explicitly authorize sharing with third-party services (e.g., connecting to Garmin Connect)
- Service providers: With trusted service providers who assist in operating our services, subject to confidentiality agreements
- Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights and safety
Run Studio integrates with third-party services to enhance functionality. When you connect these services, their respective privacy policies also apply:

- Garmin Connect: Activity sync and workout delivery. See Garmin's Privacy Policy
You can disconnect third-party services at any time through your account settings. You may also revoke Run Studio's access to Garmin Connect at any time by visiting your Garmin account permissions page.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
- Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication for third-party connections
- Encrypted storage for sensitive data
- Regular security assessments and updates
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide our services:
- Local browser data: Retained until you clear your browser storage
- Training plan data: Retained while your plan is active; deleted upon your request
- AI Assistant data: Questions and responses are retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
- Garmin activity data: Retained only as long as needed to provide training insights, then automatically deleted. You may request deletion at any time.
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion: Request deletion of your data
- Portability: Request your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent: Disconnect third-party services at any time

Run Studio is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
